Come on, high base Deflection like a Monk, which is just -5 compared with fighters. Or give the arquebus Pallegina, so she can use it as a combat opener and fire a single shot with added Flames of Devotion (enough to one-shot kill some enemy types) before switching to a primary weapon.Ĭhanters as mid-party supporters and summoners is okay, but they are much more helpful if taking a more offensive role. Give that weapon Durance, who is a Priest of Magran and therefore can learn Inspired Flame, which grants him a stacking +10 Accuracy with Magran's favored weapons: Sword and Arquebus. Worse if it's his default and slow arquebus. Base paladins compared with fighters are -10 Deflection and -5 Accuracy, which can make it more important to choose a proper fighting style as to hit more reliably. Paladins reach the highest four defenses in this game due to Faith and Conviction, especially if it's the player character. Pallegina is a paladin, and the paladin class in PoE is another tank class by class design paired with the cross-class talents (such as Veteran's Recovery to mimic a fighter's regeneration of Endurance). And with "ruffian" I also refer to the Ruffian weapons class in PoE. Eder is more helpful as an offensive ruffian, particularly since wielding a single one-handed weapon grants an extra stacking +12 Accuracy bonus. When some players use the term "tank", they don't refer to tanks that can shoot back, but mean they let Eder hide behind a shield like a coward. Shifting attributes doesn't change that much. Not because of being a specific "build", but because of player adjusting playstyle, strategies and tactics, applying meta-gaming, split-pulling of enemies and such.Įder is a fighter, and the fighter class in PoE is a tank class due to class traits. A single character can complete the entire game and expansions on hardest difficulty mode. The lower the difficulty, the more freedom you can enjoy with regard to character/party building. Btw, there are so many highly dubious builds anyway. Since you are on Normal mode, you don't need to worry about "builds" at all.
